The identity formation is a dynamic and life-long process which is characterized by continuous changes in the degree of explora- tion and strength of commitments [9,12]. These changes are pro- nounced and clearly visible at specific moments in life, in which one’s identity is challenged and adolescence is a stage in which the individual is in the midst of a process of restructuring his so- cial relationships, trying to find his place in society, and of making important choices for his future life. This is the reason why many researchers, consider a stable and coherent identity as a central developmental task during the period of adolescence. Instead of all these normative views, a study by [9] already recognized that not all adolescents are capable of becoming equally successful in negotiating this task. Some adolescents arrive at a clear and an integrated sense of identity; however, others end up in an identity confusion state.

Intrathoracic extramedullary hematopoiesis (ITEMH) is an extremely rare condition characterized by the abnormal proliferation of hematopoietic tissue outside the bone marrow. Here, we present a case of unilateral ITEMH in a 56-year-old male without a history of hematological disorders, which to the best of our knowledge, represents the first reported occurrence of this rare tumor condi- tion. The patient presented with respiratory symptoms and was initially misdiagnosed with a mediastinal mass.

Penetrating skull injury leading to intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is a severe form of traumatic brain injury that can result in significant morbidity and mortality. This case report describes successful treatment of a 22-year-old male patient who developed a massive cerebral hemorrhage within two hours of a small cerebral hemorrhage after a stab wound to the head. The patient was initially observed for the small cerebral hemorrhage in the emergency department, but his condition deteriorated rapidly and he be- came unconscious.

We report the case of Meiges syndrome in a 30-year-old young man with no particular history living and working in a mining environment and whose etiological assessment is unremarkable, which classifies him in the vast majority of idiopathic Meiges syndromes until to the contrary. The interest of this case lies in the need to carry out a thorough investigation of all the toxic substances circulating in this environment where mining activity is intensive and to do this, to upgrade the technical platform by calling on col- laborations.

Hemiconvulsion hemiplegia epilepsy (HHE) syndrome is a rare complication of prolonged focal seizures in children and usually idiopathic but may be associated with structural, infective, traumatic and degenerative diseases. We present two cases with initial presentation as left sided focal status epilepticus, later developing left sided hemiparesis with iron deficiency anemia. This is the first association of iron deficiency with hemiconvulsion-hemiplegia-syndrome illustrating the importance of testing for iron deficiency and neuroimaging in each case of status epilepticus. More importantly, these cases also raise the possibility that deficiency in iron could be a contributing factor in cases of HHE.
